Alignments

A common theme in the world of roleplaying games is the eternal struggle between Good & Evil; the concept is no stranger to Lensmoor, in fact, it has been expanded upon. There are four categories of alignments, Good, Neutral, Evil, and Chaos.

Good - representing selflessness, good deeds, and the path of light
Neutral - the path of balance, and moderation
Evil - Selfishness, greed, 'me first'
Chaos - Active change, lack of stagnation, NOT whimsy or "do what i want"

Alignments in order of Good, neutral, and evil.

Good Alignments

  • Pure
  • Good
  • Pious

Neutral Alignments

  • Kind
  • Neutral
  • Mean

Evil Alignments

  • Corrupt
  • Evil
  • Diabolic

All of the above aligns are covered under CHAOS, however chaotic religions will require you to change your align fairly actively to maintain any holy powers you receive, there is also a random chance your holy powers will not work when cast on others should you follow chaos. Likewise a Good person can't cast beneficial holy spells on an evil, and vice-versa.

There are up-sides and down-sides to every path you choose, and maintaining your position within a religion will for the most part require to to maintain the alignment of your god or goddess.

Your actions as a player influence your character's alignment all the time. There are Good Deeds and Evil Deeds, both of which will raise or lower your align.

Good deeds include: slaying evil monsters, healing other players, donating valuable equipment for lower level players.

Evil deeds include: slaying good monsters, casting necromantic spells, or killing any mob of significantly lower level than you.

As a Good or Evil character, you will have to perform the correct actions to stay within your alignment, likewise as a Chaotic character you will have to ensure your align changes often. Neutrality is by far the hardest alignment to maintain and requires a balance of actions.
